Changes to SEN Legislation
The Queen's Speech on 9 May announced a Children and Families Bill, which will include measures to improve provision for children with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities. The Every Disabled Child Matters campaign has broadly welcomed the proposals but is concerned that a single assessment process may leave many children with social care and or health needs without support.
